Guys have gotten in trouble for bringing girls cut-flowers who don't believe in disturbing the earth for the pleasure of human-kind. . .

Not true. There are many ways this can go wrong, K. For example, You can get an ex-girlfriend's favorite type of flower for your current girlfriend and say "Look honey. Your favorite!"

Allergies——if her face swells up before you can even get a chance to kiss her, what's the point?
Hard to top that unless you cook her dinner and give her food poisoning.
